A Hot Autumn Day, Part 1.

A few weeks ago in October we had a hot weekend that demanded a beach day, Along with my husband and some of his family we planned a quick trip to the beach. We thought we would get there early, ride bikes and then wash off the sweat in the ocean. That is exactly what we did, well with the exception of getting there early.  Sharing some of the pictures I took while riding bikes from Venice to Santa Monica. Teenagers

Why do teenagers think they're hot shit when they don't know shit? Maybe that question was a harsh way to start a post. Seriously though, teenagers want to be original and unique but fit in at the same time. Sometimes I wish I could knock some sense into the teenagers in my life and let them know that they're missing out on a lot of things because of their attitude. I know that being a teenager and making mistakes is part of life and growing up. I know, I know you learn from your mistakes. It's just that some mistakes can be very painful and tough. Some mistakes can be avoided.

After spending some time with some of the teenagers in my life, I realized its not entirely their fault. Lets face it, sometimes the parents are at fault. Sometimes I wish I could tell the parents that they're being stupid on how their raising their kids. That the path they are permitting their kids to continue on will probably lead to no good.  That the choices and actions as a parent, influence the lives of their kids and will probably effect them throughout their lives. Its crazy how an outsider can see all of this but the people in the middle of it can't.

p.s. This photograph is far from perfect and probably can't be fixed with editing but it reminds me of  the teenagers in my life. For reasons I can't explain, I sort of like the blurry haziness of it.  Anyway, just thought I would provide some insight of this photo.

Summer

Are you guys done with summer or at least with pictures of the beach? I know, I know it seems like all I've posted are pictures of the ocean or some sort of body of water. I'm sorry, but it's summer, it's hot and I've been soaking up all the sunshine I can. With the current drought in California, I can't be wasting water at home trying to stay cool, so beach bound I am.

Something New

I've been thinking of what I want to do with this little blog I've created and I thought it would be fun and a little challenging to have a monthly color.  So here is my first attempt at something new, so  for the month of June I picked  Tractor Yellow! Okay, I doubt that's an official name of a color but that's the best way to describe it.

Gracefully Posed

Rainy days are rare in Southern California, so when it rains it's a big deal. Last weekend it rained, hailed and snowed in Southern California.   

However, where I live I didn't see any of it! All I saw were threatening clouds that covered the sun once in a while.

In between those crazy clouds I spotted this beauty and she spotted me. 

She gracefully pose and let me snap these pictures. 

P.s. I don't know anything about birds so I don't know if this is a female bird  but I'd like to think so.
