FBF, TBT, & WBW

If you have any sort of social media you're familiar with the hashtags #FBF,  #TBT and #WBW, if you don't you're probably wondering what do those letters stand for? I'll tell you.

FBF = Flashback Friday
TBT = Throwback Thursday
WBW = Way back Wednesday

Essentially, on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday people post old pictures that were taken prior to social media being available and providing a glimpse of the past. Do you guys go back in time and share old pictures? I don't, and I have tons of old pictures. I'm not sure why I haven't joined the hashtag bandwagon, I guess I just think Instagram is about the now and as you add pictures to your profile you are creating a diary of your life. Does that make sense? However, the other day I was looking through some old pictures of the travels I have done and I found some cool pictures I thought I could share.

My first throwback/flashback/way back is from a trip to San Francisco my husband and I did in the fall of 2011. On this trip we drove up the 101 freeway and made some stops along the way. When we arrived in San Francisco we roamed the city, went to Sausalito, Muir Woods, Alcatraz and of course checked out the Golden Gate bridge.

 Keep in mind these photographs were taken on a simple camera and a cell phone. Also, don't you just hate when you take a nice picture and wish it was taken with a proper camera or take picture while walking fast trying to catch up??  Most of these pictures were taken under those circumstances. I digress, here we go...

If you live in California this is a must do road trip!

I hope you guys enjoyed this post, I'll be sharing more in the next coming weeks.

Flower Mart Finds

A couple of weeks ago my mom, sister and I made our way to the flower mart in Downtown Los Angeles. My mom was in search for flowers for a new vase she had bought. My mom bought some tropical flowers that reminded me of summer. I kept insisting on the sunflowers because they were so beautiful and ideal for the season. My mom wasn't really feeling the sunflowers, but I was so I bought them for my home. Aren't they just beautiful? I put them in my patio and they stayed alive for a little more than a week.

P.s. It's a short work week!
YAY!!!
I hope you guys have a beautiful long weekend!

Last Week

Before we were stricken with fear, before we were saddened by tremendous loss, and before the city of lights was darkened by horrific attacks we found ourselves at the happiest place on earth. Sharing some pictures I took on my iPhone of my visit to Disneyland and California Adventure last week. I hope you guys have a good week regardless of what we hear on the news.

Take care and be safe!

Hollywood Bound

A couple of weeks ago my sister, a friend and myself headed to Hollywood. It's been a while since the three of us have gone out so a night in Hollywood was cool. Our plans for the night, Florence and The Machine at the Hollywood Bowl. Oh my God you guys! This was one of the best concerts I've ever been to. If you ever get a chance to see them, please go! You will not regret it. Anyways, just wanted to share some of my pictures of that night.

Today is National Pumpkin Day, yup it's a real thing. Just wanted to share some pretty awesome pumpkins I've seen lately and this cute little scarecrow. Do you have any favorite pumpkin foods or recipes? I sort of like anything pumpkin including this adorable tee!

Peggy Sue's Diner

If you've driven from Southern California to Las Vegas, you've probably seen Peggy Sue's Diner. I've been going to Vegas once or sometimes even twice a year for the past 13 years and I finally went to Peggy Sue's Diner. This Diner is like no other, it has gift shop, two dinning areas, a pizza parlor, and a Dinosaur park. Such an interesting place, definitely worth a visit.

Lights & Water

Ah! Las Vegas, our last stop on our family vacation. The city of sin, lights and water fountains. Yeah, I'm throwing fountains in the mix. I think you can find a water fountain in almost every hotel located on the strip or at least it seems like it.  The fountains that take the cake in my opinion are the dancing waters at the Bellagio. Sharing some pictures of the lights and fountains of Las Vegas!
