Single Boat at Sea

I have a husband, mother and sister, they are my immediate family. Prior to March I also had a father. My mother and father each have about 7-8 siblings, so you can imagine all the aunts, uncles, cousins and second cousins I have. However, after my father's passing there is a huge gap in our family and an extreme feeling of loneliness. I've never experienced the feeling of loneliness until now. I know I'm not alone and I have the love and support of my family and friends but the feeling of a single boat out at sea is very real sometimes.

Something New

I've been thinking of what I want to do with this little blog I've created and I thought it would be fun and a little challenging to have a monthly color.  So here is my first attempt at something new, so  for the month of June I picked  Tractor Yellow! Okay, I doubt that's an official name of a color but that's the best way to describe it.

These pictures were taken in Venice, Santa Monica and Whittier, California.

...boom my whole life came crashing down

One of the last post I made back in February I mentioned I was super busy and wasn't going to have much time for this blog for a while and I really was busy. My life was going 100 mph and then boom my whole life came crashing down... my dad died. It will be 3 months this June and I still cry for him and I don't know if that will ever stop. This has been the hardest, saddest and worse thing that has ever happened in my life. I'm still dealing with accepting that this is real life and that I will live the rest of my life without seeing him. I haven't felt like speaking since my dad passed but I thought I would provide an explanation of my absence. I want to continue with this site and use it as a distraction.

I feel like I'm in a storm and eventually the sun will come out,  so when I can I will share some snippets of  sunshine.

Gracefully Posed

Rainy days are rare in Southern California, so when it rains it's a big deal. Last weekend it rained, hailed and snowed in Southern California.

However, where I live I didn't see any of it! All I saw were threatening clouds that covered the sun once in a while.

In between those crazy clouds I spotted this beauty and she spotted me.

She gracefully pose and let me snap these pictures.

P.s. I don't know anything about birds so I don't know if this is a female bird  but I'd like to think so.

Update

My website is relatively new and perhaps I don't have any regular visitors but I wanted to provide an update. My last post was on the 10th of February, one would wonder is she done blogging? Nope, I'm still here and very much interested in blogging. So where have I been? I wish I can say I've been traveling and working on my blog but nope that's not the case. I've just been very busy, busy with work, busy with house stuff and just plain busy! Ugh and the worst thing is, it's only going to get worse.

The month of March is extremely busy at work. I will be working long days and weekends. So my blogging will be very limited for the next 30 days.  Once I'm done with March I plan to be back with all sorts of cool things. I hope you stay tuned.
