I chased a sail boat on a hot autumn day back in October. I followed it until I was no longer able to see it and I was met by bird on a wall of rocks. As I chased the sail boat, the sun shined on the water like a sea of diamonds. I live for days like these.

A Hot Autumn Day, Part 1.
A few weeks ago in October we had a hot weekend that demanded a beach day, Along with my husband and some of his family we planned a quick trip to the beach. We thought we would get there early, ride bikes and then wash off the sweat in the ocean. That is exactly what we did, well with the exception of getting there early. Sharing some of the pictures I took while riding bikes from Venice to Santa Monica. If you would like to see my other post of Venice or Santa Monica here they are:

Lately...
I've been going on hikes every Sunday for the last month and half. I was actually working out during the week to be in shape for our Sunday hikes. I was doing this because I didn't want to feel like I was dying and need a chopper to come and rescue me during our hikes. Summer came along and heated things up, and weekday workouts ended. I have an elliptical in my garage, which is a great work out but with the heat lately there is no way I can work out in there. I need to stay on track with this work out high and find a way to continue to work out in this heat. My best bet would be to wake up early and work out before the mercury rises, but waking up early is probably the hardest part of my day! I need help, suggestions will work too!

Quick Trip
My weekend started on Thursday this week, with a quick trip to Las Vegas. I was there for a conference so technically my visit was work related. The trip was only for one night and I was back home by Friday night. It was my first time staying at the Venetian and I must admit, it was nice!
I was stuck in the conference until 5:30, but once it was up we took a quick stroll through the canals and headed to the Caesar Palace with the hopes of grabbing dinner. When we finally reached the Caesars Palace we decided to eat at the Aria, so we kept walking. Oh did I mention it was very hot? Yes, we walked in the heat which made our walk feel like FOREVER. It finally dawned on one of us to walk through the Bellagio and enjoy the Air Conditioning.
Once in the Bellagio we realized there is a tram that takes us directly to the Aria. Boy, were we relieved! After all that walking in the heat we ended the night with drinks at Javier's. I went with the Black Mamba Martini.
Since I knew my visit would be really quick I didn't feel like taking my DSLR camera , so once again these photos were taken with my iphone 6.

One week
According to the calendar it's fall, but apparently Southern California didn't get the memo. It's been hot, 90 degree's and higher hot. So this past week I laid a little low. I did some crafting which required glitter.
I bought some jewelry for my collection.
I wore a straw hat.
Attended a baseball game and got this cute penny. I also did some reading but not during the game.
Oh and my Plumeria finally bloomed!
Hope you guys have a good week!

Beauty in the City
Sometimes we think we need to travel to distant places to see beautiful sights but that's not necessarily true. If you do a little research you can find beautiful locations in your own city. This weekend was extremely hot so my friend and I decided to use our Saturday morning to take a paddle boat ride in Echo Park. This was a first for both of us; it was fun and nice to get out of the lazy Saturday morning routine. Get out there and see what beautiful sights your city has to offer, I think you will be pleasantly surprised.
