Last Day of Summer

Can you guys believe the summer has come to an end? I can't believe it. Fall arrives tomorrow and today we had some rain. I can't say that I'm ready and I'm starting to fear we have lots of cold days ahead of us. Like a typical girl, I am excited to switch up my wardrobe and makeup and start wearing some of those beautiful fall colors.

Best Summer Feeling

My favorite season of the year hands down is summer!! I love that during the summer you have the opportunity to chill outside without having to worry of the rain, cold or wind ruining a day.  I love spending an entire day in sandals, shorts and a tank top. One of the best feelings in the world is being in water, ideally with only my head above water to catch some air. Summer brings this opportunity. Whether its at the beach, pool or simply getting wet with the water hose, you can only really enjoy this feeling during summer.

If it was possible to be an actual mermaid and spend endless hours underwater I would be the first to do it! Nothing says summer like a hot day covered in water. I absolutely love that feeling. I find that being in a pool of water is so liberating. You can do things you wouldn't normally be able to do.  Water allows me to do back flips, handstands and cannon balls, something I would never be able to do in dry land. Swimming in a pool of water makes me feel young and reminds me of those long summer days when we would swim in a relatives pool or have a water balloon fight with the neighbors.   Can you tell I don't want summer to end? Here's to an endless summer and mermaid dreams!

Sea Creatures in the Desert

I went to the desert and saw sea creatures! I did, I did! Last week my husband, sis and mom packed up our truck and headed to Scottsdale, Arizona. Our itinerary for this trip was hang out by the pool and chill at my uncles house. While there, my uncle told us about a new aquarium that just opened up and was next to a butterfly sanctuary we've visited in our previous trip. You can read more about that here. Since we didn't have anything to do but chill, we decided to pay the aquarium a visit. Its so so new that they were still putting some of the finishing touches like sign decals on the walls. We saw little bit of everything including sharks, alligators, turtles, penguins, piranhas, sting rays, etc, etc. Also they have a room that moves! Think of it as a carousel! That was really cool, relaxing and a little bit scary at the same time.  If you find yourself in Scottsdale, the aquarium and the butterfly sanctuary are worth visiting. For information on the aquarium click here.

Be sure to start the tour in the bathroom, you'll be amazed!
