Faux Snow

Winter is officially here! The temperatures have started to dip, days are still somewhat warm but mornings and nights are very cold. On a cold winter night my husband and I decided to get one last visit from our seasons passes to Knottts Berry Farm. We went with the intent of dinning, walking and watching the shows. I must say the shows have really stepped up their game. We saw a total of three shows and I honestly liked all three. They were all very charming and truly entertaining. Definitely worth a visit.  I think my favorite show was the Ice skating.  Towards the ended of the night we headed to toward the front of the park and enjoyed a little faux snow. I always feel like there is so much more to a theme park than roller coasters. 

Lights & Water

Ah! Las Vegas, our last stop on our family vacation. The city of sin, lights and water fountains. Yeah, I'm throwing fountains in the mix. I think you can find a water fountain in almost every hotel located on the strip or at least it seems like it.  The fountains that take the cake in my opinion are the dancing waters at the Bellagio. LA Lights

The Los Angeles Zoo has created an experience that combines lights, animals, disco balls, and more lights. It's called LA Zoo Lights. My husband and I went this past Friday and I wanted to share a glimpse of that night with you all. While real animals are not part of this event, you will see animal light displays. However on our visit an elephant and alligator did make an unexpected appearance, so you never know who might make a surprise visit.

LA Zoo Lights runs nightly through January 4th, 2015.
